John Lehman is Chairman of J.F. Lehman & Co. and a director of a number of other companies. He served for six years as Secretary of the Navy during the Reagan administration, and was for twenty-five years a naval aviator in the selected reserves, where he saw active duty in Vietnam. He received his graduate degrees in law and international relations from Cambridge University and the University of Pennsylvania. He was a staff member to Henry Kissinger on the National Security Council, a delegate to the Force Reductions Negotiations in Vienna, and Deputy Director to the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency.
He has written numerous books, including COMMAND OF THE SEAS and MAKING WAR: The 200-year Old Battle Between the President and Congress over How America Goes to War.
