Director of the Center for Military and Diplomatic History in Washington, D.C., Mark Moyar has served as a consultant for U.S. Special Operations Command, Senior Fellow at Joint Special Operations University, and professor at Marine Corps University. He is the author of A Question of Command: Counterinsurgency from the Civil War to Iraq (Yale University Press, 2009) and Triumph Forsaken: The Vietnam War, 1954-1965 (Cambridge University Press, 2006) and has written for The New York Times, Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and other publications. He has a B.A. summa cum laude from Harvard University and a Ph.D. from Cambridge University.
