Sam Fentress

A graduate of Princeton University, Sam Fentress received his M.F.A. from the Art Institute of Chicago, and was awarded an Emerging Artist Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in 1979. His photographs have appeared in a wide array of publications including DoubleTake, Image, Architecture, and First Things. Images from this series have been in solo and group exhibitions at the O.K. Harris Gallery in New York, the Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco, and the Art Institute of Chicago. His work is in the collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Saint Louis Art Museum, the Mississippi Museum of Art, the Bibliotheque nationale de France.
